Intesa Sanpaolo has chosen the eXact LCMS platform for the implementation of its Plan Intes@ Learning project, which was launched in 2003. The objective of the project is to support eLearning content production by both Intesa Sanpaolo’s specialized internal division as well as by its numerous external suppliers, using the same methodology, tools and learning templates. The target users are composed of roughly 100,000 employees, distributed throughout Italy and in the Group’s companies
abroad.

The start of the project involved designing and implementing a set of Learning Objects tailored to Intesa Sanpaolo’s learning methodologies, and a preliminary course blueprint developed according to Intesa Sanpaolo’s learning needs.

The eXact LCMS digital repository and eXact Packager authoring tool were updated with models to automate Intesa Sanpaolo’s substantial content production process.

By using eXact LCMS, Intesa Sanpaolo was able to increase its eLearning productivity to satisfy growing internal demand. This was achieved through eXact LCMS’s ability to increase the capability to store and re-use multimedia assets in course planning, while automatically adopting the most reliable standards (XML, IMS and SCORM). This in turn allowed for the creation of Learning Object templates compliant with internal protocols, which were able to interoperate with the other HR and eLearning LMS systems.

The Plan Intes@ Learning Project enabled Intesa Sanpaolo to rapidly re-engineer its eLearning content production processes to the new generation eLearning trends, based on the wide adoption of Reusable Learning Objects, XML and Standards.

Using eXact learning solutions' technology has empowered Intesa Sanpaolo to integrate their knowledge and content management system while increasing adherence to the new market standards. In addition, Intesa Sanpaolo has improved its capability to plan and design eLearning courses, and blended eLearning in face-to-face and distance learning.
